The link to love in this one is a bit tenuous, it’s basically up here because I love it and you will too. This is a dormouse snoring.
Love, Fuck yeah.

Morning Breakfast (Déjeuner du matin) by Jacques Prévert
(Original text here: http://www.ph-ludwigsburg.de/html/2b-frnz-s-01/overmann/baf4/prevert/dejeuner.htm)
He put the coffee
In the cup
He put the milk
In the cup of coffee
He put the sugar
In the white coffee
With the spoon
He stirred
He drunk the coffee
And he put down the cup
Without talking to me
He lit
A cigarette
He made rings
With the smoke
He put the ashes
In the ashtray
Without talking to me
Without looking at me
He stood up
He put
His hat on his head
He put on his raincoat
Because it was raining
And he left
In the rain
Without a word
Without looking at me
As for me, I took
My head in my hands
And I cried
It is good to live in a world where people use this to teach people the French past tense.
It has been said before
By better men
With better words
And more handsome faces
And written
By nobler men
With neater handwriting
Sharper wits and stronger hands
I am not these men
I am not sharp
Nor neat
Nor noble
Nor handsome
Nor strong
But I write these words to you anyway
I love you
Absolutely
Completely
olgy:
I saw this man on the Metro this past Monday, and asked him who the flowers were for. They were for his wife. They’ve been married for 47 years. Every Monday, he brings her home flowers after work. My heart died at that moment.

From Spirited Away, a little bit of love for you all.
“It’s something you wouldn’t understand, it’s called love.”
Home - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. A really cracking song.
Lyrics: (taken from songlyrics.com)
Alabama, Arkansas, I do love my ma and pa
not the way I do love you
Well, holy moly, me-oh-my, you’re the apple of my eye
Girl, I never loved one like you
Man, oh, man, you’re my best friend, I’ll scream it to the nothingness
There ain’t nothin’ that I need
Well, hot and heavy, pumpkin pie, chocolate cake and Jesus Christ
Ain’t nothin’ please me more than you
Home, let me come home
Home is wherever I’m with you
Oh home, let me come home
Home is whenever I’m with you
La, la, la, la, take me home
Mother, I’m comin’ home
I’ll follow you into the park, through the jungle, through the dark
Girl, I never loved one like you
Moats and boats and waterfalls, alley ways and pay-phone calls
I’ve been everywhere with you, that’s true
Laugh until we think we’ll die, barefoot on a summer night
Never could be sweeter than with you
And in the streets we’re runnin’ free like it’s only you and me
Jeez, you’re somethin’ to see
Home, let me come home
Home is wherever I’m with you
Oh home, let me come home
Home is whenever I’m with you
La, la, la, la, take me home
Daddy, I’m comin’ home
Jane, Alexander
Do you remember that day you fell out of my window?
I sure do, you came jumpin’ out after me
Well, you fell on the concrete and nearly broke your ass
And you were bleedin’ all over the place and I rushed you off to the hospital
You remember that?
Yes, I do
Well, there’s somthin’ I never told you about that night
Why didn’t you tell me?
While you were sittin’ there in the backseat smokin’ a cigarette
That you thought was gonna be your last
I was fallin’ deep, deeply in love with you and I never told you ‘til just now
Home, let me come home
Home is wherever I’m with you
Oh home, let me come home
Home is when I’m alone with you
Home, let me come home
Home is wherever I’m with you
Oh home, yes, I am home
Home is when I’m alone with you
Alabama, Arkansas
I do love my ma and pa
Moats and boats and waterfalls
Lay awake ‘til break of dawn
Home is wherever I’m with you
Home is when I’m alone with you
George Shearing - Guilty. A lovely song from the 1930s which may well be familiar to those who know the film Amélie.
Charlie Brooker’s ‘How TV Ruined Your Life’ - Love. It may seem cynical taken in the context of some other posts on here (he defines love as being able to share a fridge with someone for 16 years without resorting to fists) but I think he makes a lot of good points about how TV warps how we look at love and love in general, plus it is funny. Carries probably about a 15 certificate because of quite a few sexual references.
This is a picture of my friend Ashley and her fiance Cole. They are truly one of the most beautiful couples that I have ever met, and they give me hope that love truly does last. I remember when Cole posted this on Facebook on their five year anniversary, it absolutely brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart: “I have spent the past five years with the lovely, beautiful, perfect, sweetest heart in the world Ashley Spradlin. I can’t wait to spend the next fifty years with her and the life we make together. Happy Five Years, Babes!”
I believe in true love, because it is all around us everyday.
